It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, dad and grandpa Arcade LeBlanc on Thursday, April 23, 2015. Arcade was born May 21, 1948 in Quebec to Regina and Arthur LeBlanc. He grew up in the St. Louis area and moved to Prince Albert at the age of 18. A few short years later he met the love of his life Gail and they were happily married December 12, 1969. Arcade worked at Peter’s Motors, and in 1973 he started his job at Department of Highways, where he worked for 35 years. Arcade and Gail had a marriage one could only dream of. They were soul mates from the first day. Arcade and Gail built a life for themselves and, in time, built their life around their children and grandchildren. Arcade and Gail raised three children, Michael, Angela and Jason, who brought seven grandchildren into their lives, Reece, Mikaela, Jessalyn, Riley, Skylar, Abigail and Avery. For Arcade, family was everything. The joys of his life were Sunday suppers, weekends at the lake or just sitting in the living room; as long as family was there. Arcade will be lovingly remembered by: his wife Gail; his children Michael and his children Mikaela, Jessalyn, Skylar, and their mother Shannon; Angela (Mark) and their children Reece, Riley and Abigail, Jason (Michelle) and their child Avery; his brother Albert (Linda); his sisters Diane (André) Hannotte, Rita (Dale) Thorimbert; his sisters-in-law Lenore Olson, Linda (Lloyd) Lucas, Judy (Roger) Dellezay; his brother-in-law Gary (Alice) Grewcock; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents Regina and Arthur LeBlanc; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Hazel and Victor Grewcock. Arcade was outgoing and had many friends; sometimes it seemed he knew everyone. He loved his work and took great pride in getting things done and doing so with good friends and coworkers. In retirement, he found many pursuits to fill his days, coffee with the best of friends, poker stars until the midnight hours, fishing as the sun came up and long walks with his beautiful wife. Arcade and Gail made many trips to Nevada and Arizona and were able to get one last trip in this past winter. Arcade was able to fix just about anything, from 454 big blocks to lawn mowers. But in the end, in spite of the fight he fought, he wasn’t able to fix his own heart. He passed with his family by his side. When his time came, he went, with a little smirk on his face, knowing his family was there, and strong, supported by his many friends. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation in Arcade’s name to the Victoria Union Hospital Foundation (Intensive Care Unit). Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 28 from St. Mark Roman Catholic Church with Celebrant, Father Tuan Doan. Interment will take place in Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of RIVER PARK MEMORIAL CHAPEL, Carla Jesso, Funeral Director.
