William “Edward” Ballantyne (Anchobew), age 67 years, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 in Stanley Mission, SK. He was born on Saturday, October 25, 1947 in Prince Albert, SK. Wake Services were held at 5:00 p.m. Monday, April 27 at the family home in Stanley Mission, and continued at 6:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Stanley Mission. Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 28 from Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Officiants were Reverend Richard Custer and Reverend Morris McKenzie. Edward is survived by his loving family: his wife Jessie Amy (nee McKenzie) Ballantyne; his sons Jack Ballantyne, Ben Ballantyne, Mark Ballantyne; his daughters Rose Ballantyne, Beatrice (Isiah Jr) Ballantyne, Flora (Graham) Charles; his brothers Tom Ballantyne, Mark Ballantyne, Ernest (Laura) Ballantyne; his sister Beatrice McLeod; his godson Deon Hardlotte; his mother-in-law Angelique McKenzie; his brothers-in-law Roger “James” (Rosie) McKenzie, Isaac (Martha) McKenzie, Frank (Emily) McKenzie, Walter (Fonita) McKenzie, David (Lorraine) McKenzie; his sisters-in-law Rosie Roberts, Jean (Mark) McKenzie, Ida (John) Roberts, Nora (Harry) McKenzie; his three grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by: his son James P. Ballantyne; his parents Peter Isaac & Mary Lydia (nee McKenzie) Ballantyne. Interment took place in the Stanley Mission Cemetery.
