Delore J Bader of Prince Albert, SK passed away at the Jubilee Lodge in Kinistino on January 27, 2015 at the age of 89. Delore is survived by his brother Wilfred and his sister-in-law Joyce Bader as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Emma Bader, brothers Edmund, Richard, Marcel, Wally and Beda; his sisters Adeline Frey, Zita Johnson and Pauline Ryan.
Delore was born at the Holy Family Hospital in Prince Albert. He was raised in the Cudworth area. He left school after Grade 7 and worked in the Prince Albert area until he joined the Army in 1943. He was discharged from the Army after six months due to poor eyesight. In 1946 he moved to the NWT where he worked in the mining industry as a diamond driller until his retirement in 1986. In his retirement years, he lived with various family members. He remained single throughout his entire lifetime. He loved to travel, and spent time in Peru, Mexico, Bolivia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Chili. Delore was a private person; no one was ever sure where he was or when he would return. When he did return, no one knew how long he would stay. He was an avid reader; you could always find him with a book in his hand. Delore was a man of few words. He was a kind, gentle, soft spoken man who was loved by all who met him. In September of 2014, he was moved from Koperas Care Home to the Jubilee Lodge in Kinistino where he was cared for and kept safe until his passing on January 27, 2015. The family would like to thank the staff for their compassion and care.
