Violet Hanton

Violet Jean Hanton, late of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Prince Albert, SK, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015 at the age of 66 years.
Violet was born in Prince Alberta, SK on February 3, 1949. She completed her schooling and started working in the food/hospitality industry, spending numerous years working at North Park Centre and later on at the Princess Café.
In 1977, she met David James Hanton whom she spent the rest of her life with. In 1979, they moved to Grande Prairie, AB, where they remained and raised their three children.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband David James Hanton, daughter Lisa Lyne Green (Kevin Green), son Billy Joe Hanton (Bobby-lyn Hanton); granddaughters Kayden Hanton and Payton Hanton; brother Gordon Green (Roseanne); sister Peggy Aug (Larry); brothers Fred Green and Charlie Green. She will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; best furry friend Dusty and Grand fur-babies Molly and Mia.
She was predeceased by her daughter Karrie Lyne Green, mother Margaret Green (nee Ferguson), father Gordon Green, sister Mitzi Tiegan, nephews Ricky and Randy Aug.
The fact that you’re no longer here will always cause us pain

The Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 2:30pm at Oliver’s Funeral Chapel in Grande Prairie, AB.
Interment will be held at The Memorial Gardens in Prince Albert, SK at a later date.
