John “Jack” L. MAYS, September 28, 1939 – June 23, 2015. On June 23, 2015, Jack passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Saskatoon on September 28, 1939. He attended Mayfair school and Saskatoon Technical Collegiate. In 1958 he joined Sask. Power and after a long career retired in 1988. He met and married Mona Maimy in 1960. They resided in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Melfort and have spent the last 27 years at Candle Lake. Jack is survived by his wife Mona (nee Maimy); son James; sisters-in-law Marge Mays and Sylvia (Dale) Constantinoff; Aunt Elizabeth Coates; grandchildren Diamond (Jeff) Warnock, Shane Mays and Andrew Mays; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Shelley; parents Jess and Esther Mays; brothers Stan Mays, Bill (Elsie) Mays and Walter Mays and his in-laws John (Frances) Maimy. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Everyone at Candle Lake knew Jack and he will be missed by all especially his lifelong friends, Bernie, Jack and Wayne.
