Mary Krywicki

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Krywicki announces her passing on June 23, 2015 at the age of 92 years. She was a devoted wife, a caring mother and loving grandmother and great-grandmother. A generous woman who, like the incredible women of her generation, played an important part with their hard work and indomitable spirit to lay the foundation for the privileged lifestyle we experience today. She was born at home in Kalyna, SK, the middle of nine children to Mike and Nellie Mazurkewich. In November 1947, she married Walter Krywicki, her partner in life and adventure for 59 years before he passed away. They farmed in the Meath Park area raising five children together. Mary is lovingly remembered by: her children Tom (Gina) of Battleford, SK, and their children Aaron (Courtney), Vaughn (Stacy) and great-grandson Huxley, Nadia Krywicki of Saskatoon; Morris of Strathmore, AB, and his children Angelina, Matti and Joel; Iris (John) Cooke of Calgary, AB, and their children Dwayne (Carrie) of Airdrie and great-granddaughters Ashley and Amanda, Sandra (Pierre) Couturier of Spruce Grove, AB and great-grandson Jaxon; Patricia Excel of Victoria, BC. Mary will also be remembered by: her brother Rudolf Mazurkewich; her sister Ann Christman; her sisters-in-law Lena Mazurkewich, Ann (Carl) Mazurkewich and Ann Balicki. She was predeceased by: her husband Walter in 2006; her son Peter in 1998; her parents Mike and Nellie Mazurkewich; her brothers Carl, Adam, Baby John, John, Walter, Albert; her brothers-in-law Tony Balicki, Richard Christman; her sister-in-law Ann (Albert) Mazurkewich. Funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 29 at River Park Memorial Chapel with Reverend Nora Vedress officiating. Interment will take place in the South Hill Cemetery. Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 54 11 Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 0Z9.
