Clifford Marko

Clifford Paul Marko passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday July 2, 2015 at the Humboldt District Health Complex. He was born in Wakaw, SK on July 27, 1938 to Mary and Peter Marko. Early in Clifford’s working life he worked on a construction crews in Lynn Lake and Uranium City, later operating a mixed farm. But it was his love for the north took him to Fort Mc Murray, AB where he was employed by Suncor. Upon retirement he and Evelyn spent countless hours manicuring their farm and garden, making sure that no fruit ever went to waste. He enjoyed tinkering in his shop, where everything had a special place, but there was always room for “one more tool box”. Nothing was as important to Clifford as a visit with family and friends! Clifford will be lovingly remembered by his wife Evelyn nee Halischuk; his son Mervin Marko and son Shawn; his three daughters Marion (Allan) Shulhan and their children Krystal (Brett) and family Amber, Hailey, & Rebecca, Kurtis (Liz) and family Kylie, Nikki &Mia; Roselyn Marko and daughter Brittany; and Katherine Marko (Marty Csulak); Evelyn’s children Cameron (Lori) Hanke, Lana Ruxton and children Raymond and Jennifer; his brothers and sisters “Lisa” Olga Hebert, Edward (Lorraine) Marko, Rosalin (Denis) Bessette, Sonja Marko, David Marko, Nick Marko, Patricia Marko, and Paula Marko; his sisters- in- law Corinne Marko, Addy Repeta, Rosemarie (Terry) Rebaudengo, Diana (Ed) Toupin, and Jan (Ian Bell) Wojciechowski and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and family. He was predeceased by his son Steven Marko; son- in- law Clayton Crowe, brother Roger Marko; his parents Mary and Peter Marko; brother-in-law Peter Halischuk; and sister-in-law Patricia Krakowka. A Celebration of Clifford’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 260-25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Val Bodnaryk officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Clifford’s memory may be directed to the Humboldt District Hospital Foundation Box 1740 Humboldt, SK, S0K 2A0.
