Bryan Kenneth Maier was born in Grenfell, Saskatchewan on February 21, 1947, to Oscar and Lydia Maier. He received the gift of Baptism on March 9, 1947, and, on June 4, 1961, he publicly confessed his faith and was confirmed at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Regina. Although he worked at various occupations and business ventures throughout his life, Bryan’s main vocation was teaching. Bryan was a member of Kinsmen for many years and, in 2000, was awarded a life time membership to the Prince Albert Kinsmen. He served as a board member for the Mont St. Joseph Home for more than ten years. He will be especially missed by his family at Redeemer Lutheran Church where he was, among other things, chairman of the congregation, an Elder, the organist and, of course, teacher for Vacation Bible School and other outreach programs.
On July 4, 2015, God blessed Bryan with a holy death, taking him home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for our brother, Bryan.
