Joseph Hilliard Michel was born in Flin Flon, MB, on May 8, 1980, and passed away in Saskatoon, SK, on September 6, 2015. He is survived by his children, Lawston, Lakken, Landon, LJ, and Lakina, his father, Hilliard Caribou, his sisters, Leanne, Joanne, Priscilla, Bear, Denise McDonald, and Deanna Cakes, his brothers, Preston, Abdul and Napoleon, his nieces and nephews, Jerrison, Jerrisha, Jerren, Dreyson and Slay, his adopted family, Allan, Leonard (April), Martin (Celina), Ovide (Tracy), Verna (David), Simeon Jr., his aunties and uncles, Martin (Margaret), George (Darlene), John (Shirley), Doreen (David),Mark (Elizabeth), Mary Rose (Joseph), Stella McKay, Audrey Charles, May (Andrew), Marlene, Loret (John) Cook, Francis, Veronique, Elizabeth (Cyril), Elisa (Steve), Charlie (Clara), Mona, Eli (Brunna), Mary Rose (Frank), Jody (Nola), Lorna (Mike), Robert (Florence), Roderick (Eliza), and Hubert (Eva). He was predeceased by his mother, Jean Caribou (nee Michel), his sister, Judy Caribou, his brothers, Brian, Melvin, Kevin and Andrew McDonald, his nephew, Quinten Ballantyne, his adopted grandparents, Joe and Christina Michel, his grandparents, Paul and Victoria Caribou, his auntie, Therese Merasty, his grandfathers, Bill (Chappy), Fred Charles, Joseph Thomas, Ovide Michel, his grandmothers, Rita Bear, Lena Sewap, Rosie Morin, and Jean Sewap, his uncles, David Caribou, Charles and Dennis Caribou, his cousins, Johnathon Michel, Monica Caribou, Justin Michel, Gary (Bluebird), Cameron, Roland,Arthur Morin, Michael Custer, Pamela Michel, Rose Dorion and Melanie. Interment took place in Moise Bear Memorial Gardens in Pelican Narrows, SK.
