Mary Lysyk (nee Zeleniski), aged 93 years, passed away on October 11, 2015 in Prince Albert. She was born August 28, 1922 in Claytonville. She is survived by her loving family: daughter Linda and sons Gerald (Donna) and David, 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was predeceased by her husband Pete. Pete and Mary owned and operated the Paddockwood “Home Hotel” from 1953 to 1964. They continued to farm in the Paddockwood area after moving to Prince Albert. They spent many enjoyable days with their children at their cabin at Candle Lake. Mary was an avid curler and was a life member of the Prince Albert Curling Club. She was an active member of St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Church and volunteered in community organizations to help those in need — truly a loving and caring lady.
We are honouring Mom’s request for an intimate family service. We shed tears that she is gone but smile at the many enjoyable memories she has left us.
We appreciate the compassionate care provided to Mom by Dr. Halyk and the nurses and staff of Pineview Terrace and Victoria Hospital.
