Edward Joseph Vandevord, late of Prince Albert, SK born July 16, 1936 passed away peacefully on October 27, 2015 at the age of 79 years. Dad grew up on the farm, a place he loved and had many cherished memories. Over the years he had many different jobs, but none were more important that raising his children. He gave up his old life the day his first child was born and began a new life as the best father in the world. Dad loved driving and had many vehicles over the years. Many people will fondly remember Dad driving wherever he went in the city. No stop was more important than the A & W downtown. He was a regular customer for many years and it was there where he and his friends had many talks and laughs with Dad over a cup of coffee with just a little bit of hot water added because then the coffee was perfect. Dad is survived by his two sons Joey (Monica) Thain of Edmonton, AB and Russell (Jen) Vandevord of Regina, SK; his three daughters Michelle (Troy) Vandevord of Muskoday, SK, Kimberley (Sheldon) Buffalo of Whitecap, SK and Lori (Randy) Vandevord of Muskoday, SK; he will also be dearly missed by his 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, who were all his pride and joy; as well as his brothers and sisters Shirley Vandevord, Lawrence Vandevord, John Vandevord, Joan (Ed) Remy, Dianna Vandevord and Wendy Vandevord. He was predeceased by the mother of his children, Lillian Vandevord and his parents Joseph and Verna Vandevord.
