Joan Carolyn Sinclair (nee Serjeant) from Prince Albert passed away November 1, 2015 at home with her loving friends and family by her side. Joan was born July 13, 1948 in Prince Albert Saskatchewan. She attended Queen Mary School and graduated from which is now Carlton Comprehensive High School. She married Bruce Sinclair May 17, 1969 and they had three sons. Joan worked for the school board for several years prior to starting her family. When her children were in school she began work at the Holy Family Hospital in 1986 until its closing. Joan then moved over to the Victoria Union Hospital until her retirement in 2014. During Joan’s employment at the Vic hospital she met many wonderful friends that she spoke so highly of. Joan enjoyed making meals for family and holidays at her house were always special and greatly appreciated by everyone, we will miss her homemade cream puffs no one ever left hungry. Joan will always be remembered for her loving support of her children, their spouses and her grandchildren, her long time friendships and her warm nature. Joan is survived by her husband of 47 years Bruce Sinclair; their sons Gregory Sinclair (Anne Marie) and their son Justin (Ashley), Trevor Sinclair (Angie) and their daughters Isabella and Abigail, and Ryan Sinclair (Crystal) and their children Jace and Olivia; her brothers, Wilfred Serjeant (Diane) of Prince Albert and Roger Serjeant of British Columbia. Joan is also survived by her very special cousin Shirley Halayka (Donald) and her close neighbours Lonnie and Eve Penner and Ken and Karel Isbister. She was predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Florence Serjeant; her uncle Ron and aunt Shirley Thompson, and aunt Marion and uncle Allen Weir. At Joan’s request a private family service will be held. Joan will always be loved by family, friends and close neighbours.
