Bertil Erling Hanson, late of Prince Albert, SK, passed peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of November 5, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Bertil Erling Hanson was born on April 18, 1929 in Prince Albert, SK. At the age of six his family moved to the farm at Birch Hills. He went to the one-room New England School. They had three children Nancy, Mark, and Karen. He was very active in his churches and after retirement was a pastoral care volunteer at Herb Bassett and St. Joseph’s homes. He loved his garden, and especially his sweet peas. He would deliver several hundred bouquets to neighbours and patients over the summer months. He loved to go for walks on the riverbanks and camping at Waskesiu. He remarried to Doreen McKenna in 2008. He enjoyed good health most of his life. The last few months he needed extra care which was lovingly provided at the Loewen Care Home.
