With heavy hearts the family of Jack Garfield Zubiak, sadly announce his passing on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the age of 66 years. Jack was born on May 14, 1949 to Helen & Mike Zubiak in Vermillion, AB. Jack is survived by his loving partner & friend Leah Link; his children & stepchildren; his grandchildren; two brothers Dave (Freddie) Zubiak and Sam (Debbie) Zubiak; his special friends Vern Montgomery and Neil Ashby and many extended family. He was predeceased by his parents; his son Christian Zubiak and his brother Phillip Zubiak.Jack was employed at MACSI for many years in security until his health declined. He continued to provide security for neighbours in Prince Albert and at Sturgeon Lake, which was so appreciated. His avid love of fishing provided many summers at the lake for him and his family. Jack loved to share his fish with family, friends, and neighbours. Jack loved people and he spent many hours helping those who suffered from addictions. He was a Good Samaritan reaching out to help all in need. Being mechanically inclined he helped anyone who had vehicle trouble. Jack served on several Community boards; his most cherished being NCC Family Services. Jack was an avid Saskatchewan Rough Rider fan. Never missing a game and winning several trips to Regina games. He loved Halloween and never missed an opportunity to dress up. He was adept at yard sales and people called him the “King of the Garage sales”. Jack’s great love for the Lord Jesus Christ, his faith, his love for his Family, his awesome sense of humor, his big smile, and twinkling eyes will be remembered always by his family, friends, neighbours and everyone whom he encountered. He will be sadly missed. A Celebration of Jack’s Life will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at Grays Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor John Fryters officiating.
