Family and friends sadly mourn the death of Mary Neschuk who passed away peacefully on December 12th, 2015, in her 90th year, following a lengthy illness. Mary was born and raised on the family farm east of Prince Albert, and having grown up during the Depression, knew the value of hard work. She married Nick Neschuk in June, 1944 and together they enjoyed farm life for many years while raising their two children. They later moved into the city where Mary enjoyed her work at Howard’s Shoe Store and Sears. Many family members have her pictures and these mementos will be cherished forever. Mary is survived by her daughter Joan Benvenuti; son Barry (Sandra); brother Fred Trach; sister Kay Samyka; grand daughter-in-law Janet Benvenuti; great grandchildren Rebecca (Dallas McKay), Nicholas, Matthew, and Marissa and great-great grandchildren Brody and Abigail, She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends. Mary was predeceased by her husband Nick; son Norman in infancy; grandson Robert Benvenuti; two brothers and two sisters. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Stan Oleksinski for his care over many years, Dr. Craig Elmer for helping the family, and the staff of Herb Bassett Home for the excellent care given to Mary during her final weeks. In honor of Mary’s wishes a private family service will be held. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
