Mary Moldowan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Mary, with family at her side she was taken to be with our Lord in the early hours of Saturday January 2, 2016. Mary was born on February 26, 1935 on the family farm to Unufrey and Maria Feniuk. She was raised with her 4 brothers and 3 sisters and attended school in Insinger, SK. Mary met the love of her life Joe Moldowan and they were married July 30, 1955. Together they were blessed with 5 children. In 1966 Joe and Mary moved to Yorkton. Mary enjoyed playing canasta with the neighbors and visiting with family and friends. She was a lifelong member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Insinger Highway Church), and more recently the Holy Transfiguration Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Yorkton, SK. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her daughters; Marlene (Lionel) Turcotte, and Sherry Koroluk; her sons Wes (Susan) Moldowan, and Perry (Delores) Moldowan; her son-in-law Brad Hanson; 8 grandchildren Clayton Turcotte, Tiffany (Mike) Cannon, Travis (Marianne) Turcotte, Robyn Koroluk (Kristin Marr), Christopher (Robin) Koroluk, Angie Koroluk, Brendan Moldowan (Melissa Cameron), and Jenna Moldowan (Mark Ladobruk); 5 great grandchildren Austin Turcotte, Joshua and Jeremy Cannon, Charlee Turcotte, and Elika Koroluk; her sister Lena Danyluk; and her brother Edward (Betty) Feniuk. She was predeceased by her husband Joe Moldowan, daughter Pam, parents Unufrey and Maria Feniuk, sisters Katherine Feniuk, Nellie Moldowan, Katherine Lysak, brothers Metro Feniuk, Nick Feniuk, and Walter Feniuk. Prayer Service will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday January 7, 2016. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Friday January 8, 2016 with Very Reverend Father Mel Slashinsky officiating. The responses will be led by Yvonne Panchuk and members of the parish choir. Both services will be held at the Holy Transfiguration Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Yorkton, SK. In lieu of other tributes donations in Mary’s memory may be directed to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
