Dwayne LaFond

Dwayne passed away peacefully with those who loved him by his side on January 28, 2016. He was born in Prince Albert on January 28, 1968 to Isadore and Josephine Lafond. He married Amelia on May 20, 1994 and together they raised 5 loving children, 2 adopted daughters and 8 grandchildren. Dwayne started at NLC in 1996 and worked there until he became too ill. Dwayne cherished his years working with his casino family and often volunteered with casino events and fundraising activities. He spoke often of the good memories. Some of the other passions when not spending time with family were his love of playing ball, challenging himself to be a home mechanic working on his vehicles, hunting and gathering with his friends for a mean game of poker.

His grandchildren: Simona, Faith, Lena, Chanel, Marihanna, Elsie, Lucien and Helix
His siblings: Glen (Rhonda) Lafond, Sharon (Jamie) Godfrey, Emily McCulloch, Melvin (Maureen) Lafond, Beverly (Keith) Roy, Geraldine Lafond, Calvin (Marcia) Lafond and Lyle Lafond
His mother-in-law: Lena Marion

His sister-in-law: Nicole (Robert) Crookedneck

Wake Service will be held commencing at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 to Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Senator Allen Bird Gymnasium, Prince Albert, SK. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Senator Allen Bird Gymnasium, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Father Travis Myrheim officiating. Interment will be held at Muskeg Lake Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306-922-4729).
