We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of David Glen Kisil, beloved son of Patricia and the late Peter Kisil of Prince Albert. He passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospital on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at the age of 53. David was born on April 3, 1962 and attended the Kinsmen School and Carlton High School. He began his working career in the shop at the Kinsmen Workshop on 15th Avenue East in September, 1983 and in October, 2006 transferred to Kin 40 in the Light Assembly program, continuing there until passing. David loved his work and his friends at Kin Enterprises and rarely missed a day. He also enjoyed visits to the bowling alley and was an avid Roughrider fan. He lived at home with his loving parents on the family farm at Red Deer Hill for over 40 years, riding on the tractor with his Dad and helping his Mom in the garden. He moved to the home of Diane and Brian Campbell in 2000 to be closer to the workshop and social activities. He was very happy there and became good friends with the other residents. The family is extremely grateful for Campbell’s love and acceptance of David and their exceptional support during his year-long battle with cancer. We would like to thank Dr. C. Hammond, Dr. N. LeRoux and staff on Level 5 at the Victoria Hospital and the ICU at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon for providing skilled and compassionate care. David is survived by his loving mother, Patricia; his cousin Laura Carment; his special family at the Campbell home and his many friends at Kin Enterprises. He was predeceased by his father Peter Kisil and his uncle Danny Kisil. Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Tony Thompson officiating. Interment will be held at South Hill Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to Kin Enterprises, 457 – 40th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 2N7.
