March 11, 1933 – March 21, 2016

Lawrence Eli SOLES was born on March 11, 1933.  He passed away on March 21, 2016, at the age of 83.  Lawrence was born in Briarlea and was the 3rd eldest child to Samuel and Mable Soles.  Lawrence attended school in Briarlea.  He had various jobs growing up and his last job was at the RM of Shellbrook where he retired at the age of 65.  Lawrence’s true passion was life on the farm where he loved frequent visits by his children, grandchildren and friends.  He also loved to watch the many birds that fed at his bird feeders.  There were many days Lawrence loved to hunt and fish.  Lawrence leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Phyllis of 49 years; his 3 children Gary (Cindy) and their children Amber and Brandi (Darren); Earl (Tracey Meng) and their children Tanner, Adam, Jamie and Darci; Cory (Jennifer) and their children Carson and Jayden; his sisters Mildred (Ken) Howat and Shirley (Archie) Tichkowsky; his brothers Fred (Brenda) and Wayne (Linda).  He was predeceased by his parents Samuel (Mable) Soles; brothers Sammy and Floyd and father-in-law and mother-in-law Jack and Gladys Roode.  Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2016 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 260 – 25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Sherry Ouellette.  Interment will be held at the Briarlea Cemetery.   In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to Charity of Donor’s Choice.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306-922-4729).
