Blaine Abbott

Blaine Andrew Abbott was born 3 weeks early on June 28th, 1984 in Saskatoon. Blaine was the youngest child of Roland and Joyce. Blaine was small in stature, but he had the biggest heart. Blaine was a very loving father to his children, Adrian, Zeb, Junior and Meekwin. Blaine was an excellent cook who could grill a steak to perfection. Blaine was fiercely proud of being Cree and an Abbott. Blaine believed in fighting for people who couldn’t do it for themselves. This showed by belonging to the Crazy Indian Brotherhood. Blaine is lovingly remembered by: His mother, Lena Joyce Budd of Lloydminster, SK, His Love and mother of his children, Miranda Desjarlais, His children: Adrian, Zebulon, Blaine Jr. and Meekwin, His sister, Teresa (Jefferson) Wolfe of Onion Lake FN and children: Scott (Calli Whitstone) and their daughter, Denita; Alexander, Jeremy and Zhané, His brother, Lance (Patricia) Abbott of Onion Lake FN and children: Dreyell and Azaria, His grandmother, Jane Harriet Budd of Norway House, MB, an abundance of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by: His father, Roland Abbott (October 18, 2015), His grandfathers, Archibald Budd Sr., Walter “Shorty” Abbott, His grandmother, Jenny Thomas, His aunt, Veronica McIvor, his uncle, Eben Abbott Sr., His cousins, Ivan Abbott, Juliet Thomas and Ryan Andersen.
Wake Service started on Saturday, April 16th, 2016 and the Funeral Service was held on Monday, April 18th, 2016 both from the Pelican Lake First Nation Band Hall. Officiated by The Elders. Honorary Pallbearers ~ The Crazy Indian Brotherhood and “All family and friends who knew and loved Blaine.” His Pallbearers, Antoine Abbott, Scott Wolfe, Chad Abbott, Matthew Abbott, Russell Budd, Christopher Hildebrant.
