Arnold Louis Peterson passed away at the Victoria Hospital, Prince Albert on May 21, 2016 at the age of 87. He is survived by wife Evelyn (Gratias); daughter Aryn-Rose Peterson; brother Raymond (Verna) Peterson and sister Pearl Evans. He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Lydia (Klepp) Peterson; sister Ethel and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Arnold is remembered for his dedication and hard work in farming throughout Canwood and Debden district. He spent his childhood and teenage years on the homestead while he attended Dry Creek School. He was the second oldest child and the first son in the family. Arnold played ball with the Dry Creek Penguins along with playing pond hockey and had numerous jobs such as working for M&S International in Canwood, the Dept of Highways and trucking with his brother Raymond. He took over his father’s land in fall 1966 and at one time farmed over twenty quarters throughout Canwood and Debden district. In 1978 Arnold met Evelyn Gratias, moved to Prince Albert and commuted back and forth from Prince Albert to Canwood while raising his daughter Aryn-Rose. He retired in 1998, selling his land and machinery. He spent his retirement going to auction sales, buying cars and trucks including his last purchase of a 2011 Mustang convertible in 2010. He enjoyed Sunday drives looking at the crops with the top down with his daughter Aryn-Rose. Please join us in celebrating Arnold’s life at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday May 28, 2016 at Canwood Elks Hall (Seniors Center), Canwood, SK with Celebrant Sherry Ouellette. Interment will be held at the Canwood North Cemetery following the service. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
