1930 – 2016
Victor Halabiski was born on February 12, 1930, and passed away peacefully on June 5, 2016, with his family by his side at the Victoria Hospital, at the age of 86 years. Born and raised in Ethelbert, MB, and moved to Saskatchewan in the late 1980’s. Victor owned his own logging company for most of his life, until his later years when he was no longer able to run a chain saw. When he had spare time, he worked in his gorgeous garden, his second love in life. He was known for his homemade wine and delicious garden salads. Victor fought a long, hard battle throughout his life, surviving a horrifying accident which caused him a lot of pain, which he is now no longer suffering from. He is survived by his wife, Agnes Beauchamp, his children, Janice (Gavin), Carol, Betty, Dwayne, Hector (Crystal), Sherri (Hans), Nola (Mike), Jeannette (Donovan) and Billy (Jenny), and his 14 grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Victor’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at River Park Memorial Chapel. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Memorial Chapel, Prince Albert, SK, 306-764-2727, Paula Hanson, Funeral Director.
