May 24, 1936 – June 18, 2016

GILBERT MAC  MCKAY passed away at Northland Pioneer Lodge in Meadow Lake, Sk on June 18, 2016 at the age of 80 years.  He is lovingly survived by his wife Christina; daughters: Jeanette McKay; Della (Dennis) Aubichon, Leanne McKay; sons: Ron (Wanda) McKay, Reg McKay, Jeff (Cindy) McKay, Russel (Jackie) McKay, Brian (Laurie) McKay; 31 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren; sister Evelyn (Dave) Fidler; brothers: Donald (Carol) McKay, Ben (Myrna) McKay, Arnold (Shirley ) McKay, Larry (Della) McKay; numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Mary McKay; sister Ruby Umpherville; brother Victor McKay; great grandchild Brooke McKay; mother and father-in-law George and Nora Ducharme; best friend Mervin Sayese; brothers-in-laws: Marcel Ducharme, Ed Collinson, Bob Ducharme, Oliver Ducharme, Fred Redhead, Gordon Umpherville; sister-in-laws Alma McKay, Pat Macleod, Leona Umpherville, Francis Ducharme.  Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 2 pm at Green Lake Hall, Green Lake, Sk.  Interment at Green Lake cemetery.   Arrangements entrusted to MARTENS WARMAN FUNERAL HOME (306-934-4888).
