Shaye Amundson

It is with broken hearts that the family of Shaye Amundson announce her sudden passing on June 28, 2016. Shaye Nicole Amundson was born on January 30, 1998 in Meadow Lake, SK. She spent the first year of her life there before moving to the community near Debden, SK where her parents were raised.
Shaye attended Debden Public High School from K-12 where she recently graduated with honors. She received scholarships from the Debden Credit Union and Access Communications as well as the award for Outstanding Student Involvement. She served as the 2015-2016 SRC School President as well as Vice-President of the SRSC. She was looking forward to attending the University of Lethbridge in the fall.
Shaye lived her life with joy and brought it with her in everything she did, whether it was on the ball field, in the hockey rink, with her church youth group, or in the school. She loved all sports, but softball was her passion. She was genuine, kind, outgoing, supportive, crazy, happy, loving and everybody’s friend. She touched so many lives in her 18 years, the impact she had on the world is greater than most people have in a lifetime. She is so loved.
Shaye will be lovingly remembered by her parents Stanley and Melanie; her siblings Camryn, Jett, and Rhyan; her grandparents Lucille & Guy Tremblay and Irvin Amundson; her aunts and uncles Carrie (Brad) Wensley and family Sarah, Victoria, and Jonathan, uncle Darryl (Christina) Amundson and family Sonora, Ira, Gabrielle, Nathanael and Anna, uncle Brent (Leah-Ann) Rogers and family Megan and Christina, aunt Diane (Barry) Mazurkewich and family Teryn (Connor) Cruson, and Todd, aunt Julie (Tim) Poelzer and family Thalia Bradford, Tristine (Kyle) Foss, and Jordan (Sarah) Poelzer, her aunt Monique Tatum and family Joelle and Matthew, her uncle Maurice (Sandee) and family Marlee and Max, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Shaye was predeceased by her grandmother Elaine Amundson. Funeral Service will be held at 2:22p.m. on Monday July 4, 2016 in the St. Jean Baptiste RC Church, Debden, SK. In lieu of other tributes memorial donations may be directed to Project Triple Play Box 712 Prince Albert, SK S6V 5S2, Debden Recreation Board or a charity of the donor’s choice.
