Arnold Gerard Gunderson, 88 years of age, passed away on August 14, 2016 at the Park Ridge Care Centre in Saskatoon, SK. He was born on Oct.19, 1927 in the Mistawasis District, the fifth child of Gunder and Asborg (Jensen) Gunderson. He spent the majority of his working life in this area.  Arnold married Josephine Bergerson of Canwood; to this union was born one son, Terry. Josie passed away on February 28, 1948. On August 21, 1956 Arnold married Frances McNeilly of Shell Lake, SK; to this union were born two children, Rick and Karen. Frances passed away February 11, 1998. Arnold was also predeceased in death by his parents Gunder and Asborg Gunderson, parents in law, Ted and Julia Bergerson, Tom and Sarah McNeilly, Elzzie McComas, sister Ilma (Ingvald) Gunderson and his brothers Jacob (Marg), John (Dorothy), and Isaac, brothers- in- law, Gordon McNeilly and Dave McNeilly. Arnold is survived by his son Terry (Alice) of Sherwood Park, AB, his son Rick (Elaine) of Saskatoon, SK and his daughter Karen (Morley) Rudolph of Mont Nebo, SK; his grandchildren Marty (Tracy), Kurt, T.M. (Julie), Cole (Allyssa), Kendall (Jordan), Shelby, Chris, Jaimie (Rachelle); his great-grandchildren Lindy, Dylan, Cole, Jade, Ellie, Nathan, Kayden, Tristan and Alyx, as well as sisters- in- law, Edna Gunderson, Elsie Gunderson, Vivian McNeilly,  Armella (Al)West, brother- in- law Bill (Brenda) McNeilly, numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. Arnold is also survived by his special friend, Dot Holmes and all her family. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday August 20th, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Shellbrook, SK. Interment will follow the lunch, at Aaseral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Aaseral Cemetery or the Parkland Integrated Health Centre.
