It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Herbert James William Lowe. Herb also spent many years working with the Saskatchewan Government Employees Union (SGEU) representing his fellow colleagues and negotiating union contracts. He shared many memories and highlights of his career and most enjoyed the time spent serving people with mental illness. Our Dad lived life to the fullest; he loved his cabin and lifelong friends that he made at Whelan Bay as well as his adventures travelling the world with his partner of 18 years, Louise. We know our Dad loved all of us deeply, he loved being a Dad and Grandpa, he enjoyed cooking for others, he was always up for a good laugh, and he enjoyed the outdoor life at the lake, his dogs and all of the times he spent with family and friends. Herb will be lovingly remembered by: his partner Louise Hanson; children: Dori (Mark) Gaudet & granddaughters Lauren and Jessica; Kent (Shelly) Lowe & granddaughters Emma and Shea; Erin Lowe; his sisters Lorraine (Marv) Dobler; Donna (George) Gruel; Lana Lowe; Louise’s children: Lenita (Amey) Hanson; Nadine (Tom) Meehan and children Ollie and Zaby; Preston (Teresa) Hanson and children Sebastian, Rosalyn and Tristan; numerous nieces and nephews, in-laws, many friends and his faithful companions Maggie and Brandy- his dogs .
