It is with great sadness that the family of Clarence Alexander Proulx announced his passing. He slipped away peacefully in the arms of Jesus on Thursday August 18th, 2016 at 0900hrs at the Big River Health Centre. Clarence grew up with a loving family on a farm in Prud’Homme, Sask. As the family became older they moved to the Big River area and continued farming. As a young man Clarence started a job in the lumber industry. He loved his work and became very involved in the labour movement becoming President of the Local IWA Union. He worked tirelessly for better working conditions for his union brothers and sisters. He held that position for many years. He was a man of God, putting God at the centre of his family, whom he loved very much. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Jennifer Proulx and his children Julian (Amber) Proulx, and Lucinda Portia Proulx. His siblings: Leo (Doreen), Richard (Florence), Jerome (Wendy), Cyril (Therese) and Dorothy. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Big River. Prayer service is Tuesday August 23rd, 2016 at 7:00pm with viewing at 6:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday August 24th, 2016 at 11:00am; followed by lunch and fellowship at the Community Hall in Big River Sask at 12:30pm. Clarence will be laid to rest at a later date. Those wishing to send the family private email condolences are invited to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com
