It is with sadness we announce the passing of a lovely lady, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Violet (Vi) Mary Hannah passed away at Victoria Hospital with her daughter by her side, on September 16, 2016. A humble servant to God, community and family, Vi was always concerned for, and interested in, others. Vi was born in Domremy, SK. on Jan. 4, 1930, to Roderick and Isabelle (Woods) Boyes. She lived most of her 86 years in Prince Albert. Vi was married to Lyle Garth Hannah of Weirdale, SK., who predeceased her by many years. She is the last surviving member of her family of origin, predeceased by two brothers and a sister and their spouses. Vi is survived by her daughter Barb (Rob) Dalziel; son Ken (Claudette) Hannah; her grandchildren Sean (Shawna Lee) Dalziel, Garth (Allison) Dalziel, Kent (Nancy) Dalziel, Marc Hannah and Pascal Hannah; six great-grandchildren; as well nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to thank the staff on the 5th floor of the Victoria Hospital, Prince Albert Community Clinic, and Greenhill Lodge and Suites for their loving care. A private, family interment followed by a public memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., at Calvary United Church, 114 – 25th St. East, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Nora Vedress officiating. Reception to follow. In memory of Vi, donations can be made to Calvary United Church or the Victoria Hospital Foundation.
