Mr. Armand J.L. Bourassa, age 84, beloved husband of Mrs. Laverne Bourassa of Prince Albert, SK passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016. Armand is survived by his loving family: his wife of 57 years Laverne (nee Hesketh) Bourassa; his son Michael (Wendy) of Salmon Arm, BC; his daughter Jenny (Thomas) of Bonnyville, AB; his grandchildren Casey, Jordan, Gail (Jeff), Brian (Laura), Randi (Jon); his great-grandchildren Autumn, Bryce, Brody, Elon, Nixon; his extended family Leesa (Jason) Layman, Jennifer (Justin) Ziegler, Shaylene (Kenda) Ziegler. He was predeceased by: his parents Doria and Antoinette Bourassa; his brothers Paul, Louis, Leo, Andre, Romeo and his sister Adrienne Matte. He was born on August 4, 1932 in Debden, SK but was raised in the Mildred district. Armand was very proud of his military service in the Korean War from 1950-1953. Armand enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He took great pride in his Purple Martins and loved good conversation and time spent with his family and friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thank you to the staff of level 5 and 6 at the Victoria Hospital and staff of the Herb Bassett Nursing Home Adult Centre. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22 from St. Michael Roman Catholic Church – 1505 – 13 Street West by Father Jim Kaptien. Interment will take place at the Walk of Memories, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family’s request those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Victoria Hospital Foundation.
