1952-2016
On October 28, 2016, surrounded by the love of his wife and family, Steve Wintringham departed this life at the age of 64 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
Steve was born in Saskatoon, SK on May 31, 1952. He was the youngest of 7 children born and raised by Vivian and George Wintringham. Steve was raised and went to school in Hanley, SK, the town he always called home.
He was destined to be in the automotive industry, as his dad owned and operated the local garage in Hanley. He loved working on vehicles, looking at cars, and collecting diecast cars. Steve not only worked in the automotive industry, he was always willing to help anyone night or day to get their vehicle back on the road.
Steve had a 2nd passion which was fishing. And every opportunity to be on the lake from sunrise to sunset with a fishing rod, and his fishing partner (Bonnie) was a fantastic day.
Steve leaves us all with the memories of his many bear hugs, his hundreds of jokes, his passion of living, loving life, and his gift of loving us all with uninhibited love.
Steve will be lovingly remembered by his wife Bonnie; his children Jodie (Richard) and family Adam, Jordyn, Xander, and Caleb; Lori (Kevin) and family Trey and Brinley; Rebecca (Owen); Laura (Jason) and family Carson and Jaena; his siblings Nora (Adolf) Gross, Allan ( Connie) Wintringham, Fred Wintringham, Les (Linda) Wintringham, Carol Ottenbreit, and Georgia Penno; his sisters-in-law: Shannon (Kevin) Weisgerber and Michelle Gamelin; his brother-in-law: Harvey Gamelin; special friends and neighbours the Benvenuti family; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
