Jack Hails

It is with great sadness that his family announces the passing of ”Jack “ John Arthur Hails. Jack lost his final battle with cancer on November 27th, 2016. Jack was born August 20, 1938 in Altecane, SK. In his early years he lived in Keppel, Catherwood, Clavet and Elstow. Jack’s teaching career of more than 50 years took him to many places all over Saskatchewan and N.W.T. He was still tutoring at Sask Polytechnic in Prince Albert at the time of his passing, teaching his favorite subject, math. Jack will be lovingly remembered by his wife Donna and her daughter Kimberley (John) Daniels; the mother of his children Helen and their children Chris (Karen), Jay (Angie), Charlene (Damian), Heather, Joanne (Darryl), Erin (Edmund), and Patti (Sandra); his mother- in -law Beryl Halcro; his brothers- in-law Selwyn, Curtis (Miarina), Quentin (Susan); his sister- in -law Maggie; his siblings; Liz, Joan (George), and Bill and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his parents Earl and Caroline, brother Harold, brother- in- law Gord Smith, father- in – law William Halcro, and three step children Shauna, Jeremy and Darcy. Jack will be greatly missed by his family, friends and students whose lives he touched. At the family’s request, dress in plaid for Jack’s Celebration of Life on Saturday, December 3rd at 2:30 pm at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church 260-25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Shane Acorn officiating.
