January 15, 1941 – December 17, 2016
Nancy Sophie Vizina, 75, of Prince Albert passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016. Nancy was born January 15, 1941 in Preeceville, SK but was a long time resident and active community member in P.A. She worked for over 30 years with the R.C.M.P. as a Matron, various administrative jobs with the provincial government, and as a waitress at the South Hill Inn. Nancy enjoyed upgrading her educational skills and took courses in law, business administration, and health. She really loved helping people and spent a lot of her time helping other seniors, volunteering with Calvary United Church UCW, and with the Single Parent’s Club. Nancy was an avid gardener who enjoyed growing a big garden and her many pots of flowers. She loved to travel and experience new and interesting places, having visited New Zealand, Cuba, Hawaii, Alaska and many other places in North America. Nancy was always thinking of others before herself and never hesitated to help her kids or anyone else who needed a hand. Her later years brought serious health problems but she tried to persevere through life challenges as best as she could. Nancy is survived by her children: Pamela Vizina, Dale-Lee Vezina, Danny Vezina, and Yvonne Vizina; her nephew: Keith Vizina; her granddaughter: Monique (Alex) Basset; and her siblings: Nelson (Lila), Rupchan, Nettie (Glen) Smith, Nellie Allen, and Neil (Karen) Rupchan. Nancy was predeceased by her parents: Dora and Nick Rupchan; her brother: Norman; Dale Vizina; her grandson: Michael Vizina; and brother-in-law: Charles Allen. It was Nancy’s wish to be interred in the Weekes, SK cemetery. A Come and Go tea will be held in her memory at Calvary United Church, January 15, 2017 from 2–4pm. Arrangements in care of MacKenzie Chapel & Crematorium. Brian and Bev Stobbs, and Tracy-Lynn Switzer, Funeral Directors. 306.763.8488 www.MacKenzieChapel.ca
