It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louis Joseph Willick. Louis was born in Marcelin in 1933 and soon after moved south of Mildred with his parents and siblings. He went to Mirror Lake School then worked on the farm with his dad and his brothers. When he was a little older he worked winters in the bush in northern B.C. as well as in northern Saskatchewan. In 1958 after 4 years of courtship he married the love of his life Joyce Lutz. They continued to farm and raise their family. Eventually Louis and Joyce sold the farm and Louis worked at the Lodge in Spiritwood for 15 years. At the age of 65 he worked at HJR Asphalt, operating much larger equipment than he had previously done farming. He ended his hard-working career enjoying his work in a place that he loved at the Spiritwood Golf Course.  Louis passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve surrounded by his family.

Louis is lovingly remembered by: his wife of 58 years, Joyce; his children:  Bryan (Brenda) of Hong Kong and family: Nicole (Geoff); Kirsti; Michael (Amanda);  Glen (Tina) of Martensville, SK and family: Stephanie (Brian); Reg (Janice) of Sooke, BC; Michele (Murray) of Prince Albert, SK and family: Devin (Richelle); Kara (Anthony); Tyler; Marty (Elaine) of Saskatoon, SK and family: Justin; Tegan; Layton; David; Tom; Jeff (Bev) of Calgary, AB and family: Brennon (Chantel); Todd (Alana); Chris of Spiritwood, SK. His siblings: Joe (Alice) Willick of Hinton, AB;  Irene (George) Lovell of Stettler, AB;  Catherine (Maurice) Doucette of Canal Flats, BC;  Deb (Rick) Kotowich of Penticton, BC. His sisters-in-law, Emma Willick and Florida Willick. Numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by: His parents, Albert and Simone Willick; his siblings, George, Anna (Leroy) Forshner and Leon. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 28th, 2016 at 10:30 am from the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Spiritwood.  Louis will be laid to rest in the Spiritwood Cemetery.  Those wishing to send the family private email condolences are invited to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com.
