Dorothy Kinloch Junor (Findlay)
1937-2016
Dorothy passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side on Friday December 30, 2016 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK. Dorothy was born on the 25th of November 1937 in Perth Scotland. She was the beloved wife of Donald and mother of David and Ken (Yuko) Junor, grandmother of Lara Junor. She is survived by her sisters Raye Jackson, Jean (Dave) Nicoll; her brothers David (Allison) Findlay, George (Mary) Findlay, Douglas (Liz) Findlay; her brother-in-law Brian (Freda) Junor, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, and special Godson David Nicoll. Dorothy was predeceased by her mother and father David & Elizabeth Findlay, mother-in-law and father-in-law Donald and Anne Junor, brother Donald Findlay and sisters-in-law Biz and June. Dorothy trained as a registered nurse and a midwife in Scotland. She worked over in Scotland where she met Donald Junor and they were married in October 1966, immigrating to Canada in 1968. David and Ken were born in Alberta where they first moved, Edmonton, Grande Prairie and then to Prince Albert in 1973. Dorothy did some nursing in Edmonton and mostly casual work at the Victoria Hospital and Muskoday First Nation. In later years she enjoyed volunteer visiting at the Victoria Hospital, and being a member of the Calvary United U.C.W. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Calvary United Church, 114- 25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Nora Vedress officiating. Memorial donations in Dorothy’s memory may be directed to the Victoria Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care 1200- 24th Street West Prince Albert, SK S6V 5T4.
