Joshua Slater, late of Prince Albert, SK, passed away on January 26, 2017 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 79 years. Joshua was born in Derby, England on June 10, 1937 and immigrated to Canada at the age of 12 with his mother in 1949. Josh spent 15 years in mining and exploration in the north then went into the welding trade for the next 25 years before retiring in 2002. Josh was a fixer. He could fix everything and anything! Josh is survived by: his loving wife of 56 years: Patricia; his sons: Joshua Peter (Karin) and Wayne (Tric); his granddaughters: Keely and Nikki; his very special brother-in-law: Bob; and his sister-in-law: Virginia; as well as many nieces and nephews who were very dear to him, and many other relatives and friends. Josh was predeceased by: his father: Joshua, at the age of nine years; his mother: Mary in 1980; and his sister: Anne in 2015; and his father-in-law and mother-in –law: Peter and Mary Sarabin. Josh will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him for his caring and helpful ways. I know God took you because He only takes the best. In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Josh can be made to the Crohns and Colitiis Society, Box 430, Sub PO #6, Saskatoon, SK S7N 0W0.
