In loving memory of Bertha C. McNeil (née Paul)
December 22, 1946 – February 8, 2017
The family is sad to announce the passing of their dear mother, sister, grandmother, cousin, aunt and a wonderful friend to so many. Bertha was known for her love of photography and was very proud to be Elvis Presley’s #1 fan since the age of 9. Mom was the family photographer for many family functions. Mom loved to Jive and dance. She loved all of her family so very much and friends very much. Bertha worked as the sausage maker at Central sausage and meats for over 30 years and retired from Walmart. Mom loved the mountains, the Auroras, knitting and sewing. Every person that circled Mom’s life have socks, hats and neck warmers made by mom. Mom was never able to see Elvis Presley in person, but she loved seeing the impersonators. Her last vacation was a trip to see family and friends in Alberta and B.C. in 2016. She also was able to see the return to Graceland tour in Calgary. The smile on her face was priceless. Mom was a huge believer of strong family ties and lasting friendships. She hosted Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving functions every year for the entire family. She would welcome many for meals if they had no one to celebrate with. Mom loved to travel to the mountains and visiting her family and friends in B.C. and Alberta. Mom was the backbone if this family and will be missed by all that circled her life.
Sincere apologies are sent to the dear family and friends who will not be able to attend her services to celebrate her beautiful life.
Rest In Peace Mama Bear.
