Virginia Marie Helen Ray was born on Thursday, July 22, 1952 in Sandy Bay, SK and passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 64 years. Virginia is survived by her loving family, her husband, Clifford Ray; her children, Randall (Jackie) Daylight and their children, Preston (Chanetelle) Linklater, Aubrey, Wyatt Linklater, Sterling (Alma) Linklater, Allison, Justice, Carter, Rayla (Cody) Linklater, Xavier, Marguetta, Chastity (Leslie), Leo, Sky, Joey Bear, Sienna, Kylie, Kierra, Janelle (Joey) Gamble, Brendan Daylight and Leland Daylight, Melinda Daylight-Ray and her children, Jenine (Damian) Ray, Jersey, Rayna and Callie, Marylee (Garry Bear and their children, River Blaze Bear, River Jr., Jaxon, Winter (Hailee) Bear, Brady, Winter Jr., Tanner Bear, Packer Bear, Hunter Bear, Skyler Bear and Daytona Bear, and Natasha (Bernard) Ray and their children, Mahikan, Dimitri, Previous and Mikisen; the children she raised, Daniel (Claire) Moise, Brayden Ray, Marcus Merasty, Grace Custer, Daniel Jr., Karen (Bart) Sewap, Roderick (Linda) Sewap, Warner Sewap, Cherry Sewap, Georgette Sewap and Coel Morin; her sisters, Rosalie Morin, Carla Sinclair, Lillian Morin, Marie Morin and Myrtle Morin; her brothers, Emile (Erna) Daylight, Horace (Brenda) Morin, Allan Morin, Jack Morin, Donald (Julie) Morin and Curtis Morin; her uncle, John Sinclair; her aunt, Margaret Ballantyne; her sisters-in-law, Irene Merasty, Eileen Ray, Shirley Omani, Denise Ray, Charlene Larson, Jessica (Kelly) Mandes and Brenda Roberts; and her brother-in-law, James Ray; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Clifford Ray Jr.; her parents, Elizabeth Sinclair and Adolph Morin; her siblings, John Sinclair, twins in infancy, and Anne Umpherville; her grandchild, Trinity Daylight; her maternal grandparents, Ettienne Sinclair and Mary Jane (nee Jobb) Sinclair; her paternal grandparents, Daniel and Nancy Morin; her aunts, Cathy Morin and Theresa Morin; and her uncles, Solomon Morin, Thomas Morin, Roderick Morin, Henry Morin, Alex Morin, Chalrie Morin and Angus Sinclair. Virginia’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Roman Catholic Church in Sandy Bay, SK. Interment to follow at Sandy Bay Cemetery.
