May 18, 1946 – May 25, 2017

It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Gerrit Robert Carruthers on May 25, 2017. He is survived by his brother George (Sheila) Carruthers; his sister Cheryl (Bruce) Leigh; his son Aaron; his son Scott; his son Brandon and his daughter Chantell; his grandchildren; his uncle Bob Neis; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Gerrit is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Louise Carruthers; his grandparents Jim and Gladys Carruthers and George and Sarah Neis; and a infant daughter. As per Gerrit’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service but a come and go luncheon will be held in his memory at the Christopher Lake Legion Hall on Friday June 2, 2017 from 2-4pm.
