Helen Brassard

Helen Mary Brassard, late of Prince Albert, SK, passed away on June 5, 2017 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 66 years. Helen was the oldest of 5 children born in Saskatoon on May 29, 1951 to Emily Holomiczek and Walter Panas. She was raised on the farm at Wakaw until 1957 when they moved to the farm at Spruce Home. Helen and Albert Brassard of Albertville married in Prince Albert in 1973, later divorcing in 1997. They had two children together, Jennifer Arrin in June of 1976 and Kelly Albert in April of 1981 and resided in Saskatoon, SK. Helen later lived in Lloydminster where she worked at Tim Hortons, eventually moving back to Prince Albert to live with her mom, Emily Panas and work at A&W. Helen was well known for her quiet and very kind ways. Helen was precedeased by: her parents: Walter and Emily Panas. She is survived by: her daughter: Jennifer (Louis) Halbgewachs; and grandchildren: Louis A, Emmanuel, Emry & Plamen; her son: Kelly (Sharen) Brassard; and his children: Sage, Leland and Kelsey; and Keith (Louise) Jones; her siblings: Marilyn (Robert) Wicker, Susan (Dixon) Manu, Karl (Valerie) Panas and Tony (Josie) Panas; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. A Service of Remembrance will take place on Monday, June 12, 2017 – 3pm at MacKenzie Chapel, 130 9th St. E, Prince Albert, SK. In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Helen may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements in care of MacKenzie Chapel & Crematorium.
