Laureen “Brown” Michelle Spence was born on Wednesday, November 11, 1970 in Ashern, MB and passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 46 years. Laureen is survived by her loving family: her companion, Wayne Halkett; her sons, Zachary Spence, Alex Spence-Inglis and Noah Spence; her special daughters, Alison Halkett, Shellyann Halkett and Michelle Halkett; her special sons, Michael Halkett, Mark Halkett and Tyler Roberts; her special grandson, Jackson Vanderkracht; her sisters and brothers, Sandra Spence, Joyce Spence (Mark Morin), Rodney Spence (Eleanor), James Spence (Delores), Robert Spence (Delores Witchekan); Garry Spence, Jo-Anne Spence, Kimberley (Henry) Stolwyk, Heather Gale and Lucinda (James) Geisler; and the father of her children, David Inglis; her sister-in-law, Flora Halkett; numerous other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her father, David Spence; her mother, Loretta (nee Taylor) Spence; her brother, Kenneth Spence; her sister, Sharon Spence; her brother-in-law, Dennis Powder; her sister-in-law, Annette Beardy; and her mother-in-law and step-father-in-law, Maggie and Dale Borrowman. A wake service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Kitsaki Hall in La Ronge, SK. Laureen’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Kikinahk Friendship Center in La Ronge, SK, Reverend Richard Custer officiating. Cremation to follow.
