Francis “Moog” Daniels passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospital on September 18, 2017 at the age of 49 years. Francis was born in Wakaw on July 1, 1968 to Wayne McKay and Beatrice Daniels. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, his daughters: Chelsey Kakakaway, Misty Kakakaway and Chastie Kakakaway; his son Darcy Kakakaway; his grandchildren: Likita Kakakaway, Brody Goulet-Kakakaway, Shenika “Halkett” Kakakaway, Shauntaya “Birdy” Kakakaway, Jaeylyn Kakakaway, Braydon Custer-Kakakaway, Asia Kakakaway, Matthew Kakakaway, Jekcobi Kakakaway and Xander Denego; as well as many other relatives and friends. Francis was predeceased by, his grandparents Robert & Evangeline Daniels and his parents, Wayne McKay and Beatrice Daniels. A Wake was held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in Prince Albert at the residence of Sharon Kakakeway. A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the East Hill Hall, 290 23rd St East, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. A Wake will follow at the One Arrow Band Hall Wednesday, September 20, 2017. The Funeral Service will be held at the One Arrow Band Hall on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Elders William Duquette and Veronica Duquette Officiating. Burial will follow in the One Arrow First Nation Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Marc Blondeau of Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK, 306-233-4403.
