A woman allegedly involved in a shooting in Prince Albert last week was denied bail.

Brittany Elderkin, 25, had a bail hearing Wednesday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court. The evidence read at the hearing and the judge’s reasons for denying bail cannot be published at this time due to a publication ban.

According to information provided by police, on the night of Oct. 21, a man was shot outside a residence in the 1200 block of 17th St. W. He was transported by ambulance to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Three people were later arrested in the Duck Lake area, after leading police on a chase down Highway 11. Kelli Elderkin has also been charged in the matter. Both women are scheduled to return to court next month.
