Police searching for missing 77-year-old man

UPDATE: As of 1:07 p.m., Joseph Yahyahkeekoot has been located and has been taken to a medical centre for minor injuries.

The Rosthern RCMP are requesting help from the public finding a 77-year-old man who was last seen yesterday.

According to a media release from the RCMP, Joseph Yahyahkeekoot was reported missing after he told his family he was going out to check a trap line yesterday at 4:30 p.m.

He is described as 5-8 and 180 pounds with a grey beard and long grey hair. When Yahyahkeekoot was last seen, he wore a plaid shirt, blue sweatpants, a beaded headband with “Joe” on the front of it, and a blue jacket. He was also driving a brown 2012 Chevrolet Silverado. The vehicle’s Saskatchewan licence plate reads 151 LMZ.
