During Awareness Month, we are encouraging people to learn the ABC’s of Dementia by visiting ABCDementia.ca and become familiar with the warning signs of dementia. By learning the ABC’s of Dementia people can help empower themselves with an early diagnosis and improve their ability to live well with dementia.
Every 24 hours 10 more people in Saskatchewan will develop Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. Dementia is the most compelling health risk facing Saskatchewan’s aging population. Yet most people can not identify the warning signs of dementia beyond loss of memory. The warning signs of dementia include changes in abilities, behaviour or communication.
