Police stop stolen vehicle and locate drugs, guns, ammunition and other weapons

According to a media release from the Prince Albert Police, officers arrested a 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman Thursday evening after a traffic stop resulted in the seizure of several weapons and drugs.

The two are facing charges of possession of stolen property, possession of ammunition, and possession of a prohibited weapon. The suspects are scheduled to appear in court today.

At the 1000 block of 15^th St. E the police seized weapons including a rifle, ammunition, brass knuckles, an axe, folding knife, and bear spray. Other items include cellphones, bandanas, a stab-proof vest as well as a small amount of methamphetamine and cocaine.

The vehicle was reported stolen to the police which led to a brief pursuit before the traffic stop.
