UPDATE: Spiritwood RCMP recover two of three stolen vehicles

Update: The stolen GMC Sierra and the Dodge Charger were recovered. Police are still looking for the Volkswagen Jetta.

It’s been a busy start to the day for Spiritwood RCMP.

At approximately 7 a.m. Thursday Sept. 12, they received reports that two vehicles were stolen in the R.M of Spiritwood.

Suspects made off with a silver 2003 four-door Volkswagen Jetta. The vehicle’s licence plate is 912 GLT. The thieves also took a silver 2014 GMC Sierra, licence plate 277 JQC.

A few hours later at 8:52 a.m. investigators were contacted after a red 2010 four-door Dodge Charger SXT, licence plate KNOT was stolen from a residence near the Spiritwood Golf Course.

The three auto thefts are believed to be connected.

Spiritwood RCMP advise the suspects may be armed and both they and the stolen vehicles should not be approached.

If anyone has information on these thefts, they are asked to call 911 or 310 RCMP.
