Neisz eyes soccer nationals
Carter Neisz will be representing Prince Albert at the Canada Soccer Toyota National Championships Under-15 Cup next month, from Oct. 9 to 15 in Edmonton.
Neisz played minor soccer with the Prince Albert Youth Soccer Association before joining on with Lakewood Deportivo from Saskatoon this year. Lakewood had a 9-3-0 record in the Saskatchewan Premier Soccer League and beat the previously undefeated Regina FC Bluestars in the provincials.
Neisz is currently training with the Saskatchewan Whitecaps MLS Academy and travelled to Vancouver to train in an elite combine with the best Canadian players in the Under-14 and Under-15 categories. He’ll be training with them before heading back to Edmonton for the nationals.
Lakewood will begin their tournament on Oct. 9 and play against Ontario, before taking on Vancouver Island Wave on Oct. 10.
