Patient steals P.A. doctor’s car
The bond of trust between a patient and their doctor was broken this week, when the patient opted to steal their doctor’s car.
The incident happened last Monday. Dr. Lalita Malhotra said the car keys had been left sitting on her desk, while she was tending to another patient, and she had left her office door unlocked. She did not realize what happened until she went to leave for home in the early evening.
“It’s a breach of privacy and also a breach of trust between a patient and a physician,” she said.
The car was recovered by police early the next morning in the 1100 block of Branion Drive. A 35-year-old man was charged in connection to the incident.
