Murder charge laid in connection to Midtown stabbing

A 19-year-old man faces a charge of second degree murder in connection to a fatal stabbing Wednesday morning in Prince Albert.
Silas Desmond Starblanket made his first court appearance Thursday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court. Members of his family were also present.
A 19-year-old man was stabbed multiple times early Wednesday morning in the city’s midtown area, and later died in hospital. Police have said they continue to investigate.
Starblanket has been remanded into custody and has been scheduled to make his next court appearance September 13.
