Ivan Kechkin is officially reporting to the Raiders.

The team announced today Kechkin signed a WHL Standard Player Agreement after the team selected him as the 60th overall pick in the 2019 CHL Import Draft.

“Ivan arrived in Prince Albert last night and was very excited to get to the rink this morning,” Raiders General Manager Curtis Hunt said. “He’s looking forward to meeting and getting on the ice with some of our returning players before camp starts at the end of the week.”

Kechkin, from Moscow, Russia, has a six-goal 12-assist record over 15 games for his hometown club in the Under-18 league. He added three goals and an assist in eight games.

The team’s training camp begins on Friday and will run throughout the weekend, with on-ice training sessions open to the public. The event will conclude with the annual Green and White Game on Monday at 1 p.m. Admission for the game is a non-perishable food item or a $2 donation to the local food bank.

This year’s home opener is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 20 against the Saskatoon Blades in the Art Hauser Centre. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
